Beaches: town Krk

Beaches in the city of Krk have a very clean sea. Extreme confirmation of this are definitely, 6 blue flags, which from year to year, reaffirm and fulfill the criteria of high sea quality and beach offer, which must be accessible to people with disabilities. Catering, sanitary, sports and recreational facilities must be nicely arranged. In the area of the beach Dražica there is as well a separate beach for our four legged friends, who are really enjoying the see in those hot summer days. Beaches are mostly sandy and rocky with some concrete landscaped sunbathe areas. However if you would like to experience a bit of intimacy you can rent a boat in the city port and explore the coast by yourself. The coast near the city of Krk is a real treasure of hidden, intimate sandy little coves, which at least for a day can become your own private beach.

Beach Plav: Is a pebble beach where you can enjoy yourself in the shade or on the sun. It also has some concrete parts. On the beach it is possible to rent a boat, or enjoy yourself in the bar. If you continue on a forest road along the beach, in the direction away from the town of Krk, you will discover many hidden intimate coves.

Ježevac Beach: is located in the camp by the same name, located 10 minutes from the city center, surrounded by pine trees and beautiful stones. You can choose between pebble, sandy and rocky beach and swim in the crystal clear sea or try your hand at beach volleyball, while your kids have fun in the children’s sandbox. There are showers available on the beach and you can as well rent sun loungers and parasols, or enjoy at the near bar.

Beach Porporela: The beach is sandy and pebble, due to various sporting events is ideal for the whole family. It is located 5 minutes away from the city center entrance, at the exit of camp JEŽEVAC. The beach has a very nice structured access to the sea, and it is as well accessible for disabled persons. They have a lifeguard on duty, showers, you can as well rent some sun loungers, a scooter, pedal boats, kayaks.. You can as well refresh yourself in a bar. The beach has a Blue Flag award.

Portapisana Beach: is located at the beginning of the city gate, an it’s one of the first beaches in the city of Krk. The beach has showers, catering and sports facilities – beach volleyball. The beach is concrete; one piece of it is sandy. It is an excellent beach for the whole family.

Beach Punta di Galetto and Bor Beach: are located on the footpath Dražica, on the beach of the hotel Dražica. Along the beach there is a bar with a beautifully landscaped appearance. On the other side of the beach Punta di Galetto there is a smaller mooring for boats.

Beach Dražica: Is a pebble beach with sea sandy bottom and is located in a romantic cove below the hotel Valamar coral. You can swim in the crystal clear waters and cool off in the shade of pine trees, or take a walk by the sea, on the way which leads up to the old town of Krk. On the beach there are also some hotels and restaurants where you can eat or drink something, there are also available showers, sun loungers and umbrellas for rent. In the vicinity there are also restaurants and sports facilities. 50 meters away from the beach is a beach for pets: Bay Redagara. A little bit forward there is camp Politin (2km away from the town of Krk) with a pebble / stone-paved nude beach called Tomaževo, where you can enjoy the view of the sea and the old town of Krk.

Beach Redagara: This is the perfect place for all people who came on vacations with their pets, and want to swim in a quiet, separated cove. This sandy beach with the crystal clear sea is located between the beach Dražica and the beach camp Politin. Your dogs will be happy.

Beach Dunat: is located two kilometers from the town center of Krk, near the main road to Punat. This beach has a blue flag award, it is sandy, the sea is shallow with a sandy seabed, it has public toilets, food and beverage offer, playground, park, beach volleyball, water sports – the main attraction there is a ski-lift, and it is also possible to rent small boats. Nearby there is a diving center and a travel agency.
